Good to know.
What counts as a seat?
One member of your organization: authors, reviewers and admins. People reading a public link don’t count, and neither do guest reviewers you invite by email on Team and Pro. Team starts at 2 seats.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new organization gets 14 days of Pro, no card needed. When it ends you pick Team or Pro, or stay on Free: nothing is deleted, and anything beyond the Free limits waits until you upgrade.
Is VersoDocs a real-time editor?
No, on purpose. Changes are drafted, reviewed and published as versions, not typed live into the document everyone reads.
What happens at the Free version limit?
Free shows the 3 most recent versions of each document, Team the latest 50, Pro all of them. Older versions are never deleted; they unlock when you upgrade. Publishing never stops.
What does Free include?
The whole review workflow for two people, including the approval rule, review emails, doc owners and scheduled publishing. Import works too. Free is capped at 10 documents (the sample spec doesn’t count) and 1 open proposal per document.
What do developers and AI agents get on each plan?
Every plan reads Current docs over the REST API, CLI and MCP, and gets the GitHub auto-sync workflow. Team adds history, diffs, search, the GitHub spec check, 25 agent proposals a month for human review, and AI agents that review proposals (comments + advisory verdicts that never replace a human approval). Agents revise and withdraw the proposals they opened. Pro makes agent proposals unlimited (API keys too), lets agents manage docs & folders and publish proposals people approved, and adds an API audit log and workspace-scoped keys. AI reviewers run on your own LLM key (one per workspace on Team; unlimited and per-folder on Pro) or as bots you run.
Can I switch plans or cancel?
Anytime. Upgrades are immediate and prorated; downgrades take effect at the end of the billing period. No contracts.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes, and it is the default: annual billing saves 16% on Team ($10 instead of $12 per seat a month) and Pro ($20 instead of $24).
What are AI credits?
VersoDocs AI runs on our provider, so it is metered in credits that scale with document size: about 1 credit per typical summary, 3 to 5 per review, more for very large documents (1 credit per 4,000 tokens processed). Team includes 100 credits a month and Pro 500; they reset on the 1st. Need more? Extra credits start at $5 (500 credits), are used after the monthly ones and last 12 months. Credits cost the same whichever provider processes the request. AI reviewers on your own LLM key don’t use credits. How AI credits work
Do you support SSO / SAML?

Who owns the data?
You do. Export any document to Markdown on every plan; Team and Pro add PDF, Word and HTML, and Pro adds a full org export (ZIP).
